Introduction

"My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century" is a campaign organised by the Hong Kong Architecture Centre (HKAC) and sponsored by Create Hong Kong(CreateHK) of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). The general public is invited to participate in voting for their 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architectures among the 100 shortlisted pieces. A series of related events consisting of public lectures, guided tours, education & young people's forum and exhibitions will be held in conjunction to enrich the public's appreciation of our built environment and recognize the essence of our place.

There was a technical breakdown due to overwhelming voting on 31 Jan morning.

"My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century"– Terms and Conditions for Public Voting

  1. Hong Kong Architecture Centre aims to arouse the attention of the general public to the built environment around Hong Kong, through the public voting of "My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century", so as to reinforce our understanding of and sense of belonging to the city.
  2. This website is designed solely for the purpose of"My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century" Public Voting. The views and opinions expressed by any public in this website neither represent the stands of nor result in any liability assumed by Hong Kong Architecture Centre, Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings Limited, and Create Hong Kong of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
  3. The voting period is from 1st January 2015 (HK Time: 00:01am) to 6th February 2015 (ending at 23:59).
  4. All participants must be aged 11 or above and are holders of valid Hong Kong Identity Card, or Hong Kong Architecture Centre and ET Net Limited reserve the rights to disqualify the eligibility of the winners who do not meet the requirements.
  5. Each participant is allowed to vote once only. Any repeated votes casted by the same voter will lead to the disqualification of all votes.
  6. The voting hours for Public Voting of "My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century"are subject to the time shown in the server of ET Net Limited. ET Net Limited and Hong Kong Architecture Centre are not liable for any but not limited to technical issues of individual network, delay, loss, errors and failure of recognition arising from voting.
  7. Participants shall ensure that all their registered information is true, accurate and complete.
  8. Hong Kong Architecture Centre has the ownership of all the personal information collected from this Public Voting activity. All participants are required to provide valid email addresses and contact phone numbers for the voting purpose and verification of identity. Such personal information will be collected and processed by ET Net Limited ("the Information Collector") and will not be disclosed to any other third parties. Hong Kong Architecture Centre and the Information Collector shall not make use of such personal information to deliver its promotional messages and other messages. Any requests for such personal information should be made directly to the Hong Kong Architecture Centre and the record of such personal information will be destroyed by the organiser within 3 months after the release of the results of the Public Voting.
  9. All prizes are subject to terms and conditions. They are neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash. ET Net Limited and Hong Kong Architecture Centre assume no legal liability with regard to the prizes. All disputes arising from the use or enjoyment of the prizes shall be resolved between the prize winners and the respective prize suppliers.
  10. To ensure fairness, the staff and their family members of Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings Limited and Hong Kong Architecture Centre are not eligible to participate in the Public Voting of "My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century".
  11. Upon your participation in the Public Voting of "My 10 Most 'Liked' Hong Kong Architecture of the Century", you are considered to have read and agreed with the Terms and Conditions for Public Voting thereof.
  12. In case of any dispute, the decision of Hong Kong Architecture Centre shall be final.
  13. The Chinese version of these Terms & Conditions shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
